junehs asked: Hey! I remember finding your work back in 2007 by someone's graphic on Neo. I adored your style so much I started to draw on my own. 8D You are my hero -- your personality and art. I have a question. You said you showed people your art in High School. I was wondering if High School teachers (a project for example) don't mind you letting your freedom go with digital art. I was kind of wondering if you had tips for using your own digital art in projects. What if they don't believe you drew it?
Wow good question! In high school most of my assignments were subjects that I didn’t care about. Like…go outside and draw the grass, but really close up. Draw your hands. Bring in junk and draw it in black and white.
So, basically, I didn’t care what medium I drew it in and never really argued to do it digitally. When I matured, I realized how valuable those assignments really are to a young artist, but at the time I flat out didn’t care. I’d rather be drawing Pikachu for my website. Drawing grass sounds oddly exciting to me right now…considering all the different shade of green, and bugs, and sand… fdmbjgf
BUT hey, you have more motivation than I did in high school! If you really need to prove you did it, try downloading livestream and record your drawing sessions. Occasionally, write in your teacher’s name, the time it currently is, blah blah to prove it’s you drawing it. :D
I don’t think everything should be done digitally though. Watercolor is a seriously good skill to learn, along with using charcoal values.
